Oh Lord Through the Revolution

That time keeps on

slipping

slipping

slipping

into the future

isn’t true,

strictly speaking.

It slips past, if anything,

like a train.

It also slips

into the past as if

the past were a bog

capable of swallowing trains,

an enormous suck

into which disappear

entire railroading concerns

and also everything else.

But flying like an eagle?

Oh yes, Steven Haworth Miller,

that for sure.
